Welcome to Burnley’s official website for all the volunteer Friends of Parks groups. Here you will find all the information you need regarding the volunteer activities, events and find out how you can get involved in parks and greenspaces in your area.
Currently we have 6 Green Flag parks all with active volunteer groups who are the voice of the community and work with Burnley Borough Council to preserve and enhance Burnley’s Parks.
We’ll be adding content as we go, for now, you’ll find the most content under the Friends of Towneley Park.
Taking place in the River Calder, this fantastic fundraiser gives you the chance to sponsor a duck for just £1.
All additional funds raised will help support the work of the Friends of Towneley Park, helping protect, enhance and celebrate one of Burnley’s most treasured green spaces for everyone to enjoy
