Welcome to Burnley’s official website for all the volunteer Friends of Parks groups. Here you will find all the information you need regarding the volunteer activities, events and find out how you can get involved in parks and greenspaces in your area.
Currently we have 6 Green Flag parks all with active volunteer groups who are the voice of the community and work with Burnley Borough Council to preserve and enhance Burnley’s Parks.
We’ll be adding content as we go, for now, you’ll find the most content under the Friends of Towneley Park.
Dragons Summer Trail
If you want something to do in the park over the weekend we still have our ‘Dragons’ Summer Trail’ available. Sheets are £1 from the Hall shop; open 12:00 until 4:30, profits go towards maintaining the trail. There is also the permanent free dragon trail. All in the shade of Thanet Lee Woods.
