Free Towneley Hall Bug Hunt!

Join us on a Bug Hunt in Towneley Park on Sunday 23rd June!

To celebrate the start of National Insect Week join Russ Hedley from Nature Talks and Walks to see how many different bugs you can spot and identify in the grounds of Towneley Hall.

Towneley Hall is situated in Burnley’s largest park, a staggering 445 acres. The Hall, which was home to the Towneley family from around 1380, encapsulates over 600 years of history. With woodland and riverside walks, sculpture trails, play areas and sports pitches there’s lots to explore in the Park too.

The different habitats around the Hall provide the perfect opportunity to spot birds, plants, trees, fungi, and insects. We want to record these finds to help us understand the local environment, our impact upon it, and how we can care for it better. To do this, we need your help!
