We have a weekly:
MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT GROUP (MIG)
Each Thursday from 10am – 12noon
Meet at the Friends Meeting Room, near the bowling green, near the War Memorial. We garden, pick litter, clean, paint, repair and generally work to improve the Park. Each person brings whatever skills they have to offer and we enjoy making a difference, while making friends, having a laugh and ending with a brew.
Please come along and join in whenever you can.
FOTP Acorns Family Activities
A massive thank you to Ribble Rivers Trust for doing a river dip with Acorns this morning. The children loved it and so did the parents, I think we all learnt something new and it’s nice to know how clean our river is.
We even managed a bit of bird feeding when we went back to the meeting room for refreshments. It was nice to see some new faces too!
FOTP Acorns is a family activity that runs on Saturday mornings from 10.30 until approximately noon.
Everyone one is welcome to join our family outdoor activities group, meet 10.30 am Saturdays at the Friends Meeting House. Only £1 per child accompanied by a responsible adult. Any profits will go to maintaining and improving the park. You can post a message on our Facebook page if you are interested.
As the activities will be mainly outdoors in the park, you’ll need to come dressed suitably, but if the weather is really bad we have indoor options too.
Meet at 10.30 at the Friends Meeting Room near the bowling green behind the Hall. Follow Offshoots signs through the gateway and we are straight on at the far corner of the bowling green.
Having made a mosaic tryptic of Towneley, and a glass panel, both of which are now displayed in Towneley Hall, our Crafters group came to an end. However, if you are willing to lead a Crafters group, we would be glad to hear from you, and it would be good, once more, to make resources to help support the activities of the group.
